Definition of a Nurse-

A nurse is a trained healthcare professional who cares for individuals, families, and communities to help them maintain or recover good health and quality of life. Nurses work in a variety of settings such as hospitals, clinics, schools, and homes.

Their main responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring patients’ health and vital signs

  • Administering medications and treatments

  • Assisting doctors and other healthcare professionals

  • Providing emotional support and education to patients and families

  • Promoting health and preventing illness
