Who manages Birkdale Park?

The proud homeowner is Mrs Cunningham who converted the home in 1986. Birkdale Park is managed by Carol’s eldest son Jonathan Cunningham MBE an ex-Army Major who is passionate about care for ‘his lovelies’. Birkdale Park is a loving home managed by an experienced family team. Staff turnover is small and use of agency staff a very seldom occurrence. The Jonathan issues a regular video update all families. Every relative is issued the care manager’s personal phone number for their reassurance and use. This is what care should be.

Birkdale Park is an exceptional nursing home situated within Southport.

We are a family-owned home that delivers outstanding loving care for Mum or Dad.

The home is situated within a converted Victorian dwelling with extensive modernisation and development over the years. Rooms range from the traditional with wood panelling to modern rooms with en-suite facilities.

Anne P (Daughter of Resident)

Birkdale Park Nursing Home has a friendly caring and happy atmosphere. All the staff is very professional, concerns are dealt with promptly and nothing is too much trouble. My Mum's health and well-being have improved during her time and Birkdale Park Nursing Home due to the quality of care, focus on

good nutrition, and inclusion in appropriate activities.

Ann M (Daughter of Resident)

Our family can't thank you all enough for the superb care you have given Mum since she arrived. The staff are wonderful! So kind and nothing is too much trouble. Mum is happy and content. Would highly recommend Birkdale Park.

Jean P (Wife of Resident)

I am very impressed with all aspects of Birkdale Park. The residents are shown care and respect and, where possible, their individual preferences are taken into account. The food is very good indeed and the residents have a choice at tea time. Music and activities are provided for the benefit of the

residents and visitors are always made welcome. The care shown is excellent in my experience and the rooms are always kept clean.
